Guarantee

At AKC Bernese Mountain Dog Ranch, we prioritize the health and well-being of our puppies. They are “smother mothered” from the moment they are born until they leave our home. This includes regular worming treatments and receiving all age-appropriate vaccines before joining your family. We invite you to visit our photo gallery to see the love and attention given to our past puppies.

We are proud to offer one of the longest guarantees in the US, a full lifetime replacement guarantee against genetic defects in our puppies. Our confidence lies in the superior bloodline of our dogs. If a licensed veterinarian diagnoses your puppy with a genetic defect, we will replace it with a puppy of equal value and the same sex as soon as one becomes available. Additionally, within 72 hours of receiving your puppy, we kindly request that you have it examined by a licensed veterinarian to ensure its good health. If a life-threatening defect is found and documented, you may return the puppy with the written diagnosis and choose between a full refund or a replacement puppy.

To ensure a smooth transition for your new family member, we offer ground delivery (with the first 750 miles free) for your convenience.

We also emphasize the importance of veterinary care and pet insurance. Completing all recommended vaccinations, as advised by your veterinarian, is essential. We encourage you to enroll in pet insurance for added protection. Trupanion provides free coverage for the first 30 days, and through AKC Pet Insurance, you have the option to extend that coverage to 60 days. Our team member, Michelle, can provide further details.

Please don't hesitate to reach out to us if you have any further questions or if you need additional information. We are dedicated to providing you with a healthy and happy Bernese Mountain Dog puppy that will bring joy to your family for years to come.

Lastly, we require your Berners under 1 year of age to remain on Purina Pro Plan Large Breed Beef & Rice Probiotic Dry Puppy Food and your adult Berners to remain on Victor Professional Classic Dog Food, unless a change is recommended by your veterinarian.

Prices

We want to make the process of getting a Bernese Mountain Dog puppy as smooth and enjoyable as possible for your family. Here are the key details you need to know:

  • Pricing and Registration: Our Bernese Mountain Dog puppies start at $3,750, with prices varying based on the level of training. They are sold with limited registration, which means no breeding rights. However, on occasion, we may offer exceptional puppies with breeding rights at a higher cost. We also provide comprehensive training and a full month of health insurance coverage for the first 30 days.
  • Reservation and Deposit: To secure your place on our waiting list, we require a $500 refundable deposit. This holds your spot on our waiting list until a puppy is accepted by you, at around 5 weeks old. At that time, we require a $1,000 good faith installment. These two transactions ensure that the puppy is reserved for you until it is ready to go home. The remaining balance of the adoption fee is due upon pickup.
  • Commitment and Waiting List: Due to high demand and the length of our waiting list, we ask that you are committed to waiting for your puppy before making a refundable deposit. We guarantee a puppy within 6 months of adding your information to our waiting list.. We understand that life can bring changes, and we are happy to accommodate any necessary adjustments or postpone your placement to a future litter.
  • Pickup and Delivery: You have two options for receiving your puppy. You can either pick up your puppy once their training is complete, or if you prefer, we offer FREE delivery within a 750-mile radius from our location. For distances beyond 750 miles, there is an additional cost. Please review our Puppy Adoption Packet for more details.

If you have any further questions or need more information, please don't hesitate to contact us at [email protected]. We are here to assist you and ensure that your experience with us is exceptional from start to finish.
